Inspire progress
Getting involved in music-making is often cited as a unifying activity. At LRMP we believe it is much more than that, and that the power of music is largely underestimated. Participating in music is good for you. It’s one of the few natural pleasures in life that can instantly ignite a spark of enthusiasm, trigger a memory, an emotion or set off a journey of discovery. The value of musical expression is universally recognised.
In Taking part in a musical activity, children learn about being in groups, develop listening, watching, sharing and collaborating. Music also develops motor skills and physical co-ordination. As music education is important to the overall development of our physical, emotional and psychological well-being. At LRMP we firmly believe that everybody should have the opportunity to experience music as a fun, learning and development tool.
Psychologists, performance coaches and self help gurus all know the power that sound brings to presentations and to their audiences – anchoring learning and information in their listeners’ minds.
We are committed to providing structured events where attendees participate in music making to meet clear aims and objectives. We can deliver workshops for corporate and community based events or in structured learning environments such as schools, colleges and prisons etc.
Our workshops can also be taster sessions to give children, young people and others with limited access to musical activities, an event that will stimulate them, inspire them, offer an emotional and creative outlet and, ultimately, to help them grow and progress. Such taster sessions work particularly effectively with those who live with social, economic, cultural or geographical disadvantage or a combination of these factors. At LRMP we back up our extensive skills, knowledge and experience of music with comprehensive experience and skills in youth and community work.
Our aim to is work with organisers to ensure participants are getting greatest benefits from a structured music making experience – tailored to the needs of the audience and the outcomes desired.
LRMP aims to play an active role in supporting the demands of a changing music education landscape. Our workshops are designed to help staff within schools and learning institutions themselves to explore structured music activities that can develop their learners’ skills and lead to a smooth transition through infant, primary, secondary school and into their adult lives. Our workshops in these environments aim to:
- Encourage achievement
- Harness enthusiasm
- Accentuate learning in an enjoyable yet structured environment.
- Develop individual confidence towards performance
- Develop individual confidence through group interaction.
- Build self esteem
- Stimulate self expression
- Improve educational and vocational attainment
In a corporate, public and business environment, our development and training days can support organisations that have little opportunity to engage with music or who seek a new and different approach to staff development. Our workshops in these environments aim to:
- Help to encourage a partnership approach amongst key staff
- Improve workforce motivation and productivity.
- Act as a fun training and development tool
- Help team building
- Build confidence and self esteem
- Harness enthusiasm and creativity
- Reward success
